On a first load, when we get the tips screen, the 'updating' notice stays up. At least in IE10 tablet mode. |

Confirmed IE only issue. |

Fixed. Was a bizarro-world IE issue where it was getting a null value for the focused object on the page, even though it should always get at least the body. To fix it, I added this totally hacky line to our document ready function at the start: That way, before all our JS starts firing, there is always a focused object and IE avoids its aneurism. |
