Instead of basing the cache on just 1hr and the 45 minute point, let's be smarter. Store the 'last updated' date from the NWS, and the last accessed date on our end. If it was last updated at least an hour ago and our last attempt was at least 30 minutes ago, we make a new request...so at least once an hour, and possibly twice if NWS takes more than an hour to update it. |
